Clay on American Idol in 2003

After the American Idol Season 2 was over, Clay continued to work with 19E and other American Idol related shows. Here are some of the highlights from 2003

On 6/3/03, Clay helped Introduce the Canadian Idol Finalists. He and Ruben sang "Ain't no Stoppin' us now"






On 7/18/03, Clay gave advice to the Canadian Idol Wildcards
On 7/22/03, The American Idol group sang "What the world needs now"
On 8/19/03, Clay gave the American Juniors advice


On 11/25/03, Clay hosted the American Idol Christmas Special on (FOX).This Christmas special showcased talents from the different American Idol Seasons and shows. Clay sang "Don't save it all for Christmas Day", "White Christmas"with Kim Locke, "The First Noel"and various group numbers and medleys.

Clay Aiken at Fox UpFront 2004-2005 Programming Presentation




On 5/20/04, Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard appeared on a special Fox Fall Season Event alongside other celebrities. Wireimage had these celebrities listed: Adam Brody, Ben Curtis, Benjamin Mckenzie, Clay Aiken, Danny Masterson, Eliza Dushku, Frankie Muniz, Jason Bateman, Jason Priestley, Kelsey Grammer, Kiefer Sutherland, Laura Prepon, Method Man, Mila Kunis, Mischa Barton, Nicole Richie, Omar Epps, Paula Abdul, Phantom Planet, Portia De Rossi, Rachel Bilson, Randy Jackson, Redman, Richard Branson, Ruben Studdard, and Simon Cowell

This was a trade event attended by major advertising agencies and a chance for the network to spotlight their new season's schedules and shows. It was held at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City.

Clay sang This Is The Night solo and Ain't No Stoppin Us Now with Ruben.

Clay Aiken on The American Music Awards


The American Music Awards show is one of four annual major American music awards shows. The AMAs were created by Dick Clark in 1973.

Clay has appeared on the show three times so far. 

On 11/16/03, Clay appeared on the 31st American Music Awards Show. He attended with his friend Amber Nix. He was nominated for two categories, Favorite Male Artist and the Fan Choice Award and won the Fan Choice Award. He sang Invisible and joined Ruben Studdard for Jesus is Love .






On 11/14/04, Clay appeared on the 32nd American Music Awards Show. Clay presented the Best Male Country Artist award with Kathy Griffin who dressed as a bride and said she was going to marry Clay. There were other photo opportunities with Ivana Trump and Jon Bon Jovi as well.







On 11/21/06, Clay appeared on the American Music Awards show with Tori Spelling. They made fun of the ongoing saga with Kelly Ripa by doing a skit about where Tori's hand has been... This was played out in the press for the next few days.
